Welcome to American Samoa. Paradise Pacific Islands

American Samoa is an island in the Pacific Ocean, southeast of the separate nation of Samoa. It is an unincorporated territory of the United States, this means it is controlled by the United States government however for the purposes of United States constitutional law it is not "incorporated". As a result, the U.S. Constitution applies only partially.

The population of American Samoa is approximately 55,689 people (at April 2019), with a large part of the people speaking both English and Samoan.
The area consists of five main islands, the largest is Tutuila and this has the most people. The total land area of these main islands and the smaller coral atolls is 76.8 square miles, a little large than the area of Washington DC.

The area has been particularly significant during the second world war as during this time the American Marines stationed on the island outnumbered the local population.
Also, many of the local residents joined US armed forces and this has continued into modern time as it is a good way to earn money away from the main industry of fishing Tuna. However, the result is that per capita in the state it has suffered the greatest proportional casualties in US conflicts including Iraq and Afghanistan.
